Gig: “Something Sounds Wonderful,” 9th April 2011

February 17th, 2011

Flower
“Something Sounds Wonderful” sounds like a nice party for a Saturday afternoon. All the better since we’re playing!

Come along.

It’s a party in a music museum, with a Wurlitzer and everything.

We’ll be on stage from about 4pm, and have a full 40 minute set including appearances from our amazing space-girl dancers!

Here’s the full set-list for the gig:

Gig: Dirty South, Lewisham, 26th Feb 2011

We’ll be supporting a Blood Red Shoes DJ set.

Tickets will be available shortly from any of the band members.

See you there!

Purple Love Balloon – Ryans Bar – 28th November 2010

December 16th, 2010

Another video from the Ryan’s Bar gig on the 28th of November 2010, when the lights literally flashed quicker the harder we rocked. As you can see, we rocked quite hard.

Fallen In Love – Ryans Bar – 28th November 2010

December 8th, 2010

A video taken at the Ryans Bar gig on the 28th November.

Our first video ever to use more than one camera. Isn’t it cool the way we can cut from one to the other? Even show both at once!

Smile – Ryans Bar – 28th November 2010

December 5th, 2010

A video taken at the Ryans Bar gig on the 28th November.

We thought the show went pretty well, all in all. So, apparently, did all these people dancing along to our rendition of Steve Harley’s “Smile”

Gig: Ryans Bar, Stoke Newington, 28th November 2010

October 29th, 2010

We are pleased to announce that Jack has secured us a third gig. After the massive success of our debut in Dirty Dicks, and the surprise of our secret gig on board the spaceship 491, we’re returning to earth once more for spectacular show at Ryans Bar in Stoke Newington.

Here’s a link to the BITE page for the bar and a handy map of the location on Streetmap.

Doors will open at 7:30pm and we’ll have to kick y’all out of there at around 11pm I’m afraid.

There’ll be some other bands too, though Jack is still negotiating deals with the others. We’ll update this page when we know.

“Dare” – Rehersal 27th August 2010.

August 1st, 2010

We practice every week, and in order to double the efficiency, the value of that practice we record it quite often. Most weeks really. Then go back and watch it again, comment on it, crack jokes, drink booze.

Jack tells us that this is the right thing to do, apparently the neural growth which practice facilitates works just as well when you watch yourself in a recording as it does when you actually do it. Or something. Jack’s not always clear on exactly what he’s programming our brains to do.

Here’s some video of us at the last practice anyway. We watched this one lots of times. It’s us singing the praises of the brilliant David Gedge and his Wedding Present song “Dare”:

Turning Japanese – Boing Live – May 2010

June 3rd, 2010

Another track from our début gig, this is “Turning Japanese” which was originally a Vapors tune, but which we literally murdered. Oh yeah.

Our friend Angel, at our gig

June 3rd, 2010

Angel played out at our gig last month, this was the second track from her set, most of which was more excellent than could really be captured by the crappy camera I had pointed at her.

Dedicated to Sye – Boing Live May 2010 – Connections

May 22nd, 2010

Our biggest patron this last week or two was Sye, a major man among minor men, a valiant warrior for freedom, who donated enough that we felt obliged to release the second video from our first gig.

Thanks Sye!

You too can be pointlessly name-dropped if you show us how much you like us in like, actual bankable currency.
